Description Of Work:

After using Gary and Equity Enhancement for removing a wall on my lower level that also required putting in a beam, we asked them to bid on an addition. He put a 300 square foot 2 story addition on my split-level home. The lower level was a garage addition and required excavation of land and pouring new concrete. In addition, the project involved framing, drywall, and finishing the two level addition. We also had all the hardwood floors refinished including new hardwoods on the addition, the roof was redone, the plumbing was replaced throughout, and a new electrical box was put in. He painted the entire upstairs interior and the exterior of the home.

Gary bid on the project and we had worked with him in the past and found him to be trustworthy and responsive. We went with Gary and had extensive remodeling work done as I have outlined above. Although complications came up, they were handled professionally and in the grand scale of the project, were relatively mild. Some of the subcontractors were outstanding and some probably needed a bit more oversight. Gary and his crew do a lot of the work themselves including demo, framing, painting, and trim. His painting work is excellent. Overall I am extremely pleased with the work and I would not hesitate to use Gary again for contracting needs. I think his main selling point for me is his honesty. With so many stories about bad contractors, it was nice to work with someone who valued not only his work but also the trust he earns from his client.

Pearson Remodel

Gary and his crew were excellent to work with – they were efficient, thorough and very professional. As problems with the structure of the house were uncovered (the dry rot was more widespread than initially thought) solutions were discussed thoroughly with me and remedies implemented. The finish work was outstanding. They took extra care to make sure the new finishes on the wood moldings, french doors, etc. flowed with the original mahogany paneling and trim in the house thus making the new work flow seamlessly with the original house. They provided options as needed to keep the work within the budget I had and provided professional advice as to where money could be saved etc.

His team took on the challenge of trapezoid shaped windows in the studio bedroom and did an outstanding job. The subcontractors he provided were thorough and professional and his crew monitored everything. The kitchen design work was particularly outstanding and I love my new kitchen cabinets.

Gary’s team were great people to work with! This was a big remodel with much of the house involved and things were kept organized, the job site managed carefully and care was taken with the furnishings, etc. Gary and his crew checked in regularly (in person, by phone, and by email) to see if there were questions, etc. While I’m not ready to do another remodel just yet I would highly recommend their services and have done so with friends.
